After using the Skimp 70 on about twenty trips now I’m ready to give my review. Once again the super soft texture of the lure is amazing and very life-like, unlike other plastics on the market. This is a big bonus for cranky fish that can mouth lures and get turned off. On the Skimp, I’m getting multiple hits from even big, educated bream. On three trips after drawing total blanks with my usual lures, swapping to the Skimp has turned them into very successful days. This tells you the true value of a deadly lure. Once I got about 30 big estuary perch to 46cm and another day 21 bream to 42cm. On both occasions after getting zero with other lures. So far my two fav colours are Warpike and Ice Viper UV. I’m yet to fully explore all the other patterns but I just know that Machete UV and Sickle UV are going to join that club soon. I love the options of red or black eyes on these lures. Finally, the gliding action of the Skimp is incredibly prawn or shrimp like – and the fish know it!!
